Personal: August

It has been a month full of expenses and, well, disappointments. Why? Here are the reasons...

- Spent my "advanced" 13th month bonus to buy an 80Gb Ipod Video. Yes, after long months of telling myself that I don't need this thing and that I need the PSP more, I have one now. It was a very very unplanned purchase. As what my manager said, I'm an impulse buyer. Well, I'm still trying to control myself in buying an Ipod speaker, and now, a Camera Connector. *sigh*

- Bought 4 audio CDs. These are: Paramore's "All we know is falling" and "Riot"; Staind's "Chapter V"; and, "Lies for the Liars" from The Used.

- Bought a new pair of shoes. Due to the 3 consecutive heavy rainfall this month, my shoes is now broken. So, I ought to buy a new pair.

Now, I'm a BUM!

- No promotion and ranking went down a notch. Well, I wasn't expecting for any promotion. The only disappointing thing is that my ranking went down, that I was not able to, at least, maintain it. :(

- "Freelancer". 'Nuf said.

- Still 165 lbs. After eating sandwich for dinner for 3 weeks, I still weigh 165 lbs. Well, probably because of eating too much during lunch and snack. Lol. I really didn't intend to do this, the only reason I ate sandwich is to avoid Sudden Unexpected Death Syndrome, also known as Bangungot, since I get home late and have to sleep asap.

On the lighter side...

- Finished Season 1 of Heroes.
- Finished PSP Game: Brave Story: New Traveler

Tech: Gadget...Designs

I was stumbling the net one night and came across this site where they present some nifty tech gadget designs. Take note that these are designs only. Still, these gadgets are kinda cool if made available in the market.

  • A very sexy personal computer. [link]
  • A backup hard drive that resembles Window's Recycle Bin. [link]
  • Ultra-Portable Macbook. [link]
  • An MP3 Player that can also be used to play CDs. [link]

Personal: Typhoon Egay

It was already raining hard when I woke up because of the typhoon named Egay (Sepat) which I thought will have an impact the next day. I didn't worry that much since I am used to going to work even if it is raining hard (No, Ron, I didn't mean anything here. Hehe.). So, I did my usual routine and prepared to go.

The rain stopped when I was already walking my way to ride a PUJ to Tandang Sora, and then to Quezon Avenue. But when I was riding the jeepney on my way to Quezon Avenue, the rainfell again. I was a bit worried because I only have a small umbrella with me, since I left the bigger one in the office. I was more concerned with my feet and my shoes, AND my gadgets in my bag (Hehe). I was sure that with that strong rain, my shoes and feet will get wet. Darn! I was correct, my feet got partially wet. This is the only reason why I hate rain. Moving on..

On my way to the MRT Quezon Avenue Station, I already saw the long line that extended upto the lower end of the escalator and then to the front of a fastfood chain. I was not kind of expecting that since most of the time, if it is raining, there are few people riding the MRT. I don't know the reason behind it but that is an advantage for me. *Evil Laugh*

I took my chances of using the other stairs to go to station since my other option of commuting my way to work, which is riding an FX, is not adviceable because of the traffic. I noticed, while waiting in line for the security guards to allow entry in the station (for almost an hour, mind you), the vehicles were not moving and the people were already walking. Probably, there was something wrong in EDSA, maybe a flood or something else.I took a picture of it when I finally decided to go home (see pic below).

As I was saying. I finally decided to go home and do my work at home. Now, I'm waiting for my download to complete since I need this email client to read my...uh...emails. Hopefully, my connection will be stable, after disconnecting once, since the software installer is 329 Mb and is not resume-able... *sigh*

Music: Please by Staind

just sharing my current mood...

Please

Can't you see that I'm sick of this?
Chances are you're oblivious to how I feel
Sitting on your throne, and I'm sure that I'm not alone,
Not alone, not alone.

Tell me please,
Who the fuck did you want me to be?
Was it something that I couldn't see?
Never knew this would be so political.
And please, I'm still wearing this miserable skin
And it's starting to tear from within
But it's obvious that doesn't bother you, so please

I didn't think that you'd sell me out
Now I know what you're all about.
You might feel in control of things.
But you're not holding all the strings.
All the strings, all the strings.

Tell me please,
Who the fuck did you want me to be?
Was it something that I couldn't see?
Never knew this would be so political.
And please, I'm still wearing this miserable skin
And it's starting to tear from within
But it's obvious that doesn't matter to you,
So please

I've swallowed all your answers
I've swallowed all my pride
You've used up all your chances
Can't keep this all inside

Tell me please,
Who the fuck did you want me to be?
Was it something that I couldn't see?
Never knew this would be so political.
And please, I'm still wearing this miserable skin
And it's starting to tear from within
But it's obvious that doesn't bother you

So please don't keep telling me that it's ok
I don't buy all the shit that you say
And quite honestly I'm fucking sick of it
so please if I cut off this nose from my face
Then I wouldn't feel so out of place
But it still wouldn't be quite enough for you,
so please.
