one rainy but fun saturday...

just got home... me and my girlfriend watched Spiderman 3 (at long last!) and Shrek 3. I was a little disappointed with Spiderman, it's just that it was not what I expected it to be. Shrek was funny, especially when Charming asked Pinnochio regarding Shrek's whereabouts. I can't help laughing, silently...hehe...

We played at World's of Fun (arcade). We played hoops, the peso machine (where you drop a peso hoping that it'll push the other coins), and other games that give out tickets. We only got 295 tickets because we have to save money to be able to eat. Hehe... We had lunch at Sizzling Plate, and dinner at Wendy's. It's been a while since I ate there.

Up to this moment, I'm still thinking if I should have bought that action figurine from the anime that I'm currently watching (Deathnote). Good heavens I was able to control myself...that thing costs Php980!!! But just like what my girlfriend said: "Panget lang yung box kaya di mo binili". She's correct... HAHAHA! The box is not in mint condition, that's why I didn't buy it. But if it was... ^__^ I've been wanting to start this hobby but I can't. I don't have a place to put them. Lol. Honestly, those things are too expensive!

Anyway, it's night again...after fighting our way to ride the crowded bus (there were no vacant taxis), under one umbrella (since it was raining), I'm home. And now, I have to go to sleep because I have to go to church tomorrow morning, and to the office in the afternoon. Goodnight! *yawn*

Tomorrow, me and some of my High School classmates-slash-friends will go to Matabungkay Beach Resort in Batangas. It's supposed to be a reunion but, same as before, only few of us (6 to be specific) responded and agreed to join. This is a reunion! A REUNION! demmet... just kidding. LoL. I guess people are too busy lately, not that I am not, it's just that why don't we take a break? We do hope that in our next reunion, the population will grow to at least 10? Hehe...

I thought I had enough...

Waa! Along with this DSL connection is my old hobby coming out of the grave... I just recently posted some hobbies that I had before, I said that it sorta kinda wasted my time and money, and yet...here I go again... I've signed up for an account, downloaded the client, installed the program, and patched the game.. I'm in! AGAIN!

papiJare. That's his name. An Asura class in the world of Rappelz. I liked the graphics of this game that's why I tried it. And most important of all, it's free!!! You only have to spend if you want to buy important stuff, which I don't have to.

papiJare. Same name huh? Anyway, he's my character, a Gunslinger, in AnimaRO...a private server... yeah, yeah... I know it's illegal... It's free! So, I don't care. Lol. I also have another character, but is still in it's childhood stage. It's hard starting from scratch again.. No zennies, no armors, no weapons, no bullets... darn those bullets! I can't use other weapons aside from guns. But I can't use my guns without those friggin' bullets! Waa! I have to have a less-expensive character... A ninja perhaps? We'll see...

Things that wasted my time...well, not really. :)

Alas! My First Blog Update! Woohoo!

Why was I able to?

'Cause I have nothing else to do...Simple reason huh?

Anyway, I opened my pc and was wondering what the heck would I do...surf the net...open my Friendster account...download the latest episodes of Deathnote, Naruto, or Bleach...worst, check my office email, and continue coding my unfinished program (good thing I was able to control myself...lol).

Out-of-nowhere, Ragnarok Online came to my mind. Now, I know what to do...

Check the latest online games available today. Then it came to me, why not update my blog with the things I like doing before? And so, here it goes...

Way back when I was in my junior years in college when I started playing Ragnarok. The addiction...yes...the addiction...I remember those days when I'd rather play than to sleep early, or eat more. That was Bonok's, Ernie's and Bening's fault. At first, I was not interested in the game, I was fighting the urge of getting my hands to that free installer. But unfortunately, I failed. I said to myself that I'll try the free 3 days of the game, and then stop. But, failed...again.

Check this image on the left...See all that Ragnarok related stuff? Those ain't free! (poster and cd's aside...Ü). It cost me thousands, though, I just realized that after quitting.
The one with the blue bar is my character (image below), known as the Priest. He was at level 96 then (3 levels to go)...imagine that...that was hard for a DIAL-UP user who have several characters in two accounts (bitter...lol). Moving on...
I quit playing when I started working in my first and current job. Basically for the reason that I go home late and tired.

Thus, so long Ragnarok.

Oh! Before Ragnarok took all my time and money, there is this thing called "Magic: The Gathering". Basically, it made me a bum. See the image below? Yes, I still have those cards. I had those since I was in my junior year, this time in High School. I was a little bit obsessed with the game, so, the tendency was I'll buy a complete set known as "Deck" and those seperate cards, known as "Booster Packs", where you take your chance hoping to get a rare card. The thing about me buying those booster packs...I suck. I always end up feeling sorry for my money, but still, I continued buying them. Who knows I might hit a jackpot! I was like a common Pinoy who lines up to buy lotto tickets hoping to hit a major prize. But just like the most of them, it always ended the day with a frown. :(

Next up, console and PC games.

Since I was a kid, I am very fond of playing video games. Way back when I still didn't have my own pc to play Keen or Doom 1 and invaded my friend's house just to play for a couple of minutes. Happy and satisfied. Then, PS1 emerged, but still I was not able to own one. So, I once again invaded another friend's house to play. Now, that I have my work, I was able to buy own stuff, and I'm proud of it. Just don't mention to me that PS3, WII, and XBOX 360 exists. ;)

These are/were just some of my simple but, a little bit, expensive hobbies. I just tried to convince myself that every peso that I spent was all worth it.

I'm convinced.

to my first-ever-hoping-to-be-constantly-maintained-and-updated BLOG. I'm just finding some ways to make my pc useful aside from programming unfinished programs and surfing the net..lol

I just recently applied for a DSL connection, so hopefully (I am really hoping, mind you), that I'll be able to update my blog...so help me God.

I'm still gathering my thoughts though since it past midnight, so I am not sure YET to what nonsense things this blog will ever contain...
